Comic conventions have evolved into an essential aspect of the comic book experience, allowing readers to meet their favorite artists, purchase a wide variety of comic book items, and socialize with other comic book enthusiasts.
With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the rising cases, forums decided to organize the events virtually for their audiences. Below is the list of 5 Comic Cons that were functioned effectively on an online platform.

Pop Culture Forum

Pop-Culture Forum (PCF), Comic-Con India’s top Industry Award, has long been the famous and recognized conference known for the extraordinary talent and minds in pop culture. The event features entertaining panels covering a wide range of themes, including comics, public dialogue, entrepreneurship, and consumer trends. PCF 2020 is going virtual this year. Everyone is welcomed to attend the two-day digital event. The event usually takes place in July.

San Diego Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con

SDCC is the first to host an entirely online event. While con-goers won’t be squeezing past each other on the floor of the San Diego Convention Center, they will be able to watch the performance from the comfort of their homes in their pajamas. You don’t need a badge or a unique code to check out. All you need is a YouTube account. The festival takes place for four days in July.

WorldCon New Zealand

WorldCon: The annual science fiction (and fantasy) convention, which takes place in a different location each year, is planned in New Zealand in August. Because of pandemic worries, the 78th World Science Fiction Convention organizers have decided to make it a virtual event. The event will go up to five days from July to August.

DC Fandom

‘DC Fandom,’ a 24-hour virtual fan event, is hosted by Warner Bros. The free global event will immerse fans in the DC Multiverse for 24 hours at DCFanDome.com, with new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics, as well as an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators of your favorite feature films and TV programs. The event will go on throughout the entire month of August.

#SaveDareDevil Con

The organizers of the #SaveDaredevil movement will stage #SaveDaredevilCon in conjunction with SDCC, or San Diego Comic-Con. The virtual event will focus on Man Without Fear, the character’s Netflix show, and related properties. In addition, to live roundtable conversations, the cast and crew of the critically acclaimed Netflix series will participate in pre-recorded panels. The festival takes place in July for three days.
